About the Synthesis and Assessment Products

The U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP) series of 21 "Synthesis and Assessment Products" (SAPs) integrate research results focused on important science issues and aimed to support informed discussion and decision making regarding climate variability and change by policy makers, resource managers, stakeholders, the media, and the general public. The 13 USGCRP participating Agencies led the production of these reports. The SAPs were prepared in conformance with the provisions of the Data Quality Act (Section 515 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act of 2001).
